Since we were kids, after school cartoons instilled in us that knowledge is power and ‘the more you know’ about something, the better off your life will be. And that’s something that has stayed with us now that we’re older!
So, helping our colleagues, comrades and cohorts learn new things to enrich their lives and help them lead successful careers has become one of our favorite things to do in the studio!
In our small-town setting away from the everyday hustle of the world, we welcome creative experts to host educational events for photographers, content creators and all types of creative souls. Use our clean, organized space to deliver unique, inspiring learning events.
We do our best to keep attendance fees low and the attendee count high, so everyone can share some knowledge (and a little bit of profit too).

2 Large, Versatile Rooms + Getting Ready Space
MI Studio Space is a professional photographer’s dream studio, rented out by the hour!
With ever-changing backdrops, furniture, décor and props, all types of content creators will have full access to all of the amenities in each room. Move them around easily, have fun and create the perfect setting for you and your clients.
The largest space in the studio, the Main Room features several different sets, a fully functional kitchen, gorgeous white bathtub and so many options for creating amazing photos with a wide range of color schemes, textures, and styles for portraits and beyond.
The XoXo Room is an intimate studio space set up for boudoir photography and beyond with glamorous sets and deep, rich colors with neutral textiles give the space an intriguing feel with delightful accents that help bring your photos to the next level of originality.
This space is perfect for getting ready for a photoshoot or event! It features a curtained dressing room with robes, excellent lighting, large mirrors, hair and makeup station, and more. We even provide extra amenities and supplies to make sure you have just what you need.
MI Studio Space makes it easy to get as little or as much space as you need!
Book each room individually, or combine them to create the perfect space to let your creativity flourish.
Easily move around the furniture and switch up the décor to create just the look you’re going for.
We’re versatile, flexible and easy.
Book space in 1 hour increments, with an extra 15 minutes built-in at the end for clean up time too. Rooms are available 24/7.
Membership has its benefits…
To use the studio space freely, you must first become a member — it’s free (for now)! You’ll have full access to our online booking system to easily reserve space and the lock app provides easy entry.
Just schedule a tour and sign our rental agreement, become a member and use our studio spaces.
Located on Main Street in Wayland, Michigan, just 20 minutes south of Grand Rapids, MI Studio Space gives professional photographers and creatives amazing studio workspace in a quiet, quaint, convenient setting.
We are located on the second floor of this building (Our signs are coming soon). Come inside the Mi Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant and right up the stairs to the studio space.
Parking:
There is a pay to park lot across the street. I recommend using city street parking, the north library lot or behind our building in front of new life church.
While we may be a bit off the beaten path with a small town exterior, the studio space itself includes upscale sets, props and décor as well as laid back, casual pieces that deliver versatility to create amazing photos and videos with just the right the look and feel.
And historic, downtown Wayland is full of incredible, vintage exteriors, green spaces, cute shops and cafes and incredible locations to take your shoot outdoors too!
Hello there, I’m Emina, but you can call me Mina!
I’m the ever-enthusiastic, camera-wielding force behind MI Studio Space and Mina’s Photo. I’m a whirlwind of creativity and passion. I laugh a lot and talk too much, and do my best to make sure there is never a dull moment in life. I live for new experiences, and will try everything at least twice to make sure I like it 🙂 But wait, there’s more to me than just my camera and studio. I’m a proud mom to two incredible little girls and share my life with Ernie, my partner in crime and best friend. They are my constant inspiration and the joy in my every day.
Since launching this incredible journey, my world has expanded from capturing stunning, soulful photographs to creating a sanctuary for fellow photographers at MI Studio Space.

I meticulously curate the studio, ensuring every piece of furniture and décor sparks creativity.
